The Lord has so much more for you than your glorious redemption from the penalty and the power of sin.... We often wind up still shackled to our sinful past,being bound up by our guilt, the shame and humiliation of who and what we were before Jesus. Or we remain imprisoned by our bitterness, anger, grief and broken dreams. But Jesus died and rose again to loosen us from the chains of the powers of darkness. He is the Light that pierces the darkness and it is He who desires to lead us to Himself and experience His Truth, Peace and Abundant Life!!! What we have been given through the Blood of Jesus is so far beyond salvation....it is restoration to who our Father desires us to become. Yet we sink deeper and deeper into the filth of the prisons of the past before Christ came and set us free for His glory! We waste away day by day never comprehending that Jesus has already unlocked and opened the door to real freedom....true joy....peace that passes all human understanding. And so it is there, in the muck and the mire of the pit, that Jesus Himself comes into and He lifts us up in His Mighty arms (if we let Him) and He carries us out into His glorious liberty. And so, it is not salvation....it is transformation!! It is God alone who redeems us from sin, it is He who rescues us from our self destruction and will restore relationships and reputations!! He fills us with Himself until we overflow with His joy in the deepest places of our hearts!! He strips us of the filthy rags of our own righteousness and clothes us with the garments of grace and glory!! Not merely set free, but cleansed and delivered, made new by the One who called the very universe into existence!! I am praising God tonight for He alone is able to take the mess that I am and the messes I have created and transform me into a vessel for His Kingdom. |
